Central Coast Wine Report is an independent Internet Publication founded in 2006 (as redwinebuzz.com) by Arthur Z Przebinda. Since its inception, Central Coast Wine Report has grown to be the foremost authority on Central Coast wine.
tThe Mission of Central Coast Wine Report is to:
- Provide consumer-oriented journalistic coverage of the Central Coast wine scene.
- Provide informed and authoritative evaluation of wines from California's Central Coast.
- Serve as a consumer advocate on matters of Central Coast Wine.
- Educate the public about wine and Central Coast wines in particular.
- Bring greater awareness about the region and its wines.
Central Coast Wine Report is not a blog. It follows journalistic and ethical standards with the benefit of the reader as its guiding principle and thus fulfills a consumer advisory and advocacy role rather than that of enthusiast/consumer reviews or word-of-mouth marketing. All wines reviews published on Central Coast Wine Report represent only the findings and evaluation of founder, Arthur Z Przebinda. Wines evaluated are either media samples provided by producers or their marketing agents or wines purchased independently. Not all wine assessments are published. Neither Central Coast Wine Report nor its founder nor agents receive compensation for evaluating wines and, as such, all published reviews are not compensated endorsements. Central Coast Wine Report wine revies constitute consumer product evaluations.
All wine evaluations are conducted independently and using objective standards without interjecting the reviewer's preferences for any particular wine (click here to see the rating system). This unbiased format incorporates educational and information resources and is intended to guide readers towards better wine purchasing decisions based on their own preferences.
The Central Coast Wine Report format for reviewing wines emphasizes the merits of a particular wine in the context of the component grapes, growing regions and vintage. Central to this, is the role of terroir in a wine's character and identity.
Central Coast Wine Report is also a portal for wine-related events in California's Central Coast and Central Coast-themed wine events elsewhere.
